  • So it is pretty fast I run a bandit 3200 track and its a little slower but its only got 80hp but why the fuck did vermeer not put this thing on tracks if you need a grinder with that much horse power you are probably going to be using it in some land clearing applications. and whats with no remote to I hate being stuck to side of a machine especially when u have to travel over long distances or over uneven terrain. and its been my experience in the past vermeers don't hold up very well.

  • Its very stable, I just did a lot job the other day. Most of my work is residential, I didnt want tracks. Remote is an option. All stump grinders are junk, and all stump grinders break. This one looks like it might go longer in between breaking, Time will tell.

  • Hyd. leak constantly. Don't buy this POS.

  • What POS do you run that does not leak?

  • My SC60TX goes almost anywhere and my SC130 gets the rest. I use the SC130 only when I have to, its a lot of work to use it, but necessary.

I started to get the SC1152, but I couldn't give up tracks for wheels. Maybe later Vermeer will make a new track grinder with more hp,hydrostatic, remote only and still fits through 36'' gates.

  • ive got a Rayco and its made enough for me in a year to buy it and the parts i need to keep it goin forever...

  • yea i have a walk behind and a tow behind and the walk behind goes everywhere ill chain it to my loader bucket and sit it up on top of shit to grind, then the tow behind goes on my front when i get to the job and just put it everywhere. stump grinding is fun when there is work!!

  • And having a wireless remote is superior to not having one, too!

  • Self-Propelled grinders are superior to pull-behinds, as tracks are superior to wheels!!!

  • No actually wheels are better than tracks. the tracks tear the ground to shreds the tires articulate with the ground, when the tracks turn the rip the ground. i have a rayco D90 with removable tires and it does way more good than the tracks. now a remote control would be nice but i like running it myself

  • Rayco

  • Yes ,they do come with a remote, the first ones that came out didn't. When I went to Vermeer, they told me that this machine with a remote would be around $74,000. If they had made it on tracks, I'd already have one. Wheels suck compare to tracks, no flats and better traction and doesn't tear up a yard, and way more maneuverable.
