AGAIN, I would rather stay at home... if you are a SAHM I am not trying to bash or put you down... as I'd MUCH rather stay at home... however, since I had to work (thank you, recession), I must look at the bright side of things.

  • I LOVED that comment about not being able to learn what he learns away from you if he is with you! great point!

  • Thank you... it's one thing that a SAH kid can NOT get when youre with them all the time... its hard but it's something in my half full glass (-:

  • I am a full time working mom as well. I feel like there is not enough time in the day. I try to get so much stuff done on the weekends when Audrey is napping and after she goes to bed on the weeknights. Plus getting my school work done. Half the time I dont want to cook dinner because I want to spend every minute with her when I get home. I am also the carrier for health, vision and dental on all 3 of us. You are a great mom and you can see how happy Deacon is!! He is too cute!!!

  • I KNOW! Like 3 more hours would be perfect!!! hahaha!!!

Thank you so much! And props to you! It's hard but doesn't it feel good when you actually use the insurance? Gotta look on the bright side

  • I'm SO glad you made this. I get so down sometimes about not being able to be with my baby. I was supposed to get to be a SAHM, and when it didn't work out and I had to send him to daycare at 4 weeks, I wanted to just die. Anyway, this is nice to hear, because sometimes I really get in the rut of seeing the glass as half empty.

  • I'm with you. Its hard, soooo hard, to stay positive about it but you gotta do what you gotta do... even if it isn't the ideal. I'd so much rather be with him all the time... damn economy! But it will sure make their first days of school easier!

  • What kind of work do you do? Do you work full time or part time? Do you have weeends off? Sorry for all the questions...lol. I agree that you charish time with your kids when you work...my husband always wants to hang with the kids when he gets home and i am a stay at home mom so its a nice break for me...lol.

  • great video thanks for sharing - Im about to go back to work as we are over burdened with debt and you have helped me look at it from a whole new more positive perspective - the biggest problem I find is with other people ie grandparents, random busy bodies, total strangers etc telling me how damaging it is going to be for my 10 month old daughter and that Im being selfish - so thank you so much!

  • I *AM* a stay at home mom and totally completely 100% agree with you. I find that when I'm away from my daughter I appreciate the time I have with her a lot more. It definitely does make time a lot more precious and I find that when I am away from her I spend a lot more time playing with her and have more energy doing stuff with her than I would when I'm at home 24/7. I think you worded everything great and I couldn't agree with you more!

  • Thanks for sharing your upsides! I have to return to work soon and am already very upset about it. But I was/am lucky because my daughter will be a year when I have to return. I'm lucky that in Canada you get a year paid off.
