The Kübelwagen is undoubtedly better than the Willy's Jeep, but not by a whole lot. The Kübelwagen was just a much more smartly concieved piece of kit.
As for the ultimate offroad car of WW2, the Type 166 Schwimmwagen takes that prize :)
Honorable mentions go to the 4x4 Horch 108 Type 40 and 4x4 Steyr 1500A though.

Dam, I wish someone would re manufacture the Kubelwagen. I want one!
-
@ZerokillerOppel1 Thank you sir!
-
@x1pyroveride it's obvious ofcourse: the light will be let through the little slit only being seen ony by people on the gound and can't be seen from the skies--> attracting hails of .50 cal and rockets from allied fighters.
-
@ZerokillerOppel1 that maybe so but doesn’t explain what they were for?
-
@x1pyroveride those were black-out lights. Used by the Allies too.
-
3 wheels on the air? Not even hammers-Hamvee's dont have this kind of balance, so.... Dear santa,...
-
ok can someone tell me the main reason for german cars to have just the little slits in the lights?? was it cuz of the reflection or something?
No it's 2 WD with an autolock differential (pattern Ferdinand Porches).
