GV presents Margaret Cho's Bam Bam and Celeste

Mark Your Calendars—August 16th is now Margaret Cho Day!

Last night at the Castro Theater, Good Vibrations presented the premiere screening of Margaret Cho's latest film and first narrative feature, "Bam Bam and Celeste" to a packed house. Introduced by special guest emcee, KRON-TV's Jan Wahl, Margaret Cho appeared on stage after the screening for a Q & A. As a special surprise, the San Francisco Human Rights Commission proclaimed August 16th as Margaret Cho day in San Francisco and representative Cecilia Chung presented Ms. Cho with a plaque.

"This is the gayest day ever," said Margaret, "it's Madonna's birthday and my day!"

Later in the Q & A session, a theater patron asked, "If we have fireworks for the 4th of July and turkey for Thanksgiving...what should we do to celebrate Margaret Cho day?" to which the comedienne answered, "lots of anal."

A great time was had by all. The evening ended in a VIP reception with Margaret signing "Bam Bam and Celeste" DVDs.

this is proof that she is funny even totally unscripted. I think she cann be a bit rauncy, but definitely one of the funniest comics out there. If she watered it down JUST A BIT, she'd be super popular in the mainstream. Good luck getting her to water it down tho.
