The East Asian Seas Congress 2003 was one of the major outcomes of a decade of regional efforts. It came into existence to serve as an essential prime mover in the region for bridging about opportunities and solutions to address the ever-increasing environmental problems that face the seas of East Asia and more importantly, to promote a more responsive and enduring partnership among stakeholders to save and enrich this natural heritage.
