This video demonstrates a faulty hip extension movement pattern. Since hip extension is involved with every step we take, any abnormality can lead to pain and tightness. This patient came in with low back pain and had a left lumbar scoliosis. Treatment by Highland Park, IL chiropractor, Dr.Mitchell Katz, consisted of very specialized exercises that focuses on balance and stabilization. The pattern was normalized with four weeks of chiropractic treatment. For more information please visit our website http://chiroplusnetwork.com
Hi Darth,
Thanks for your interest. Typically we would do adjustments to the spine in the area of the greatest dysfunction which is usually the SI and/or lumbar , but can be upper cervical as well, whole body vibration, wobble boards and very specialized balance shoes. The longer this pattern is present, the more difficult it is to change, so the fact that this 72 year old had such good results is very encouraging. The time frame was about 4 weeks most of which was done at home.
