Training your body using only your body weight work out in cardio as well as strength
This is what most MMA fighters use to train themselves, including Rich Franklin, BJ Penn, Randy Couture, Eddy Bravo, Urijah Faber, and many ore
its up and coming and is called Cross Fit

Here is the workout that was just done
21 Pushups
21 Sit ups
21 Squats
21 Burpees (sprawl, then jump)
then
12 push ups
12 Sit ups
12 suats
12 burpees
then
9 push ups
9 sit ups
9 squats
9 burpees

Trying to beat your time every time. Your goal is to do it non stop with no break as fast as you can.
Its really tough on your cardio conditioning.

You go at your own pace, and you break yourself down physically as well as mentally.

  • People are stupid. This is great conditioning and really helps you lose weight and build endurance fast and effectively. Do this everyday in my MMA class.

  • @malicios Thank you!! Finally people that understand. They don't realize how hard that stuff is

  • this is a good mma workout, some people are saying this is what they see in boxing and wrestling not mma...your a dumbass

some are saying none of this helps with mma...what about the sprawls and conditioning aspect?...dumbass

  • haha, thanks for defending that aspect. Its for conditioning and all that. Speed etc.

  • these you call mma training ruteines are what i doin footballand wreseling and boxing conditionings not in mma...........just sayin

  • Yes all of those are true as well. Its almost like saying im running for football not for the track team... both involve the same kind of conditioning, and as long as you can get your heart moving and pushing yourself its an excellent drill. And you mentioned boxing as well.... well what do you think is included in MMA?

  • @headedforaheartbreak You do know MMA uses both wrestling and boxing? Just asking.

  • Korn...Coming Undone....I had to point it out.

  • @surfawave04 I beat the shit out of 230lbs football players day in and day out, they come in acting tough get owned by me at 180lbs and never come back! Stay on the field with your pads. I don't play football because it only takes one ball and combat sports takes two!

  • A lot of CrossFit work outs are GPP so it would make sense to see them in all sports. For people that think it doesn't work try it! Just try going to the main site and do exactly what comes up for 1 week. So many people think that CrossFit can be summarized by one workout but it cannot. Range of motion is the only issue I see with this video.

  • Learn how to sprawl. Its not the worm man.

  • its all about what kind of work out you want to go for..... u can stay lean forever or put on mass.. whatever works for you... if you wanna get big your gonna hit harder and yet most definitely lose speed and flexibility... most would agree being to muscular can be debilitating

  • Nice bandana, wish i had one..

  • crunches? really? you know you guys could do with a better strength and conditioning workout right? so is crossfit all about burning you up, and building lactic acid? and what the hell kind of burpee is that?

The workout can be tough as hell, but its not really that effective.
