@dsm44130 It's to give the crankshaft more direct oil pressure. The oil jets are mainly to cool the stock heavy cast pistons which like to absorb heat.

@dsm44130 they really don't do much, especially in the higher horsepower ranges, if you actually need them your car will probably already be doomed.
There have been cases of them breaking off too and the pieces causing problems, I actually have a picture of my buddy's car that ended up with a broken squirter that damaged his rod, luckily it ended up falling into the oil pan and not actually causing serious damage.

Lol, I own a 95 Eagle talon tsi. 16g, aftermarket intercooler, 1,000cc, 255lph walbro fuel pump, and turbin headers.. I don't know if I could crush a vet.... Doubt it.

@dsm44130 alot of people around here do it too... that or just run non turbo blocks.. ive been told its just 1 less thing to go wrong really
