The snow melted just enough to freeze Pinehurst Dr. into a nice skating rink. The garbage truck pulled into the cul-de-sac and as it made the turn into the curve, the slipping and sliding started and didn't stop until the truck nearly rolled over. Thankfully, a few well placed bushes and trees served as a stop.

Two tow trucks, 5 hours, and a broken cable later, they were finally pulled back onto the road.

  • "slides", present tense action verb. Should read "slid" past tense verb, BECAUSE NOTHING IS HAPPENING!

  • @toadabc Is this what happens when you turn 57, you get cranky and go make MR TEACHER comments on random videos - oh, is that because NOTHING IS HAPPENING in your life? Thank you, you've made a difference.

  • Yep, that sucks.I remember when I first started hauling trash years ago,the guy that was training me slid off a country dirt road in the middle of winter and the truck was almost laying all the way on its side in a ditch. We had to wait for a few hours sitting like that before the tow truck even got there.
