Highlights of early games from Week 16 of the NFL season, along with playoff picture update with Brent Musburger and Irv Cross. This was recorded from the halftime report of the Bears / Raiders game. Includes a short tribute the L.A. Raiders gave to Walter Payton, as he was playing his last regular season game that day, in the Raiders stadium.

  • Brent got his wish....23 years later!

Also the final game in St.Louis Cardinals history, before the move to Arizona.

  • Beautiful tribute to Walter Payton from the City of Angels.

No better man to do it than former Bear and Raider George Blanda who just passed away.

  • Wow......Walter Payton gets a send-off in his last regular season game by the Oakland Raiders and George Blanda!

I was never a huge fan of Al Davis, but that's pretty classy.....

  • @rcviolet6

Actually it was week 3 that was lost with replacements playing weeks 4-6.

  • Hard to believe the Vikes' two playoff road blowouts that year would have all been for naught with a Cardinal loss.

  • Musberger wanted Colts and Saints in the Super Bowl back in '87. He got his wish 23 years later.

  • the voice of Summerall just makes you feel like its a late fall afternoon

  • The Tecmo Bowl graphics on this are fantastic. I loved football so much back then.

  • lol @ Herschel Walker helping the Vikings. That was the last time that happened.

  • For the record, the linebacker that Largent locked up with at the line of scrimmage was Jack Del Rio

  • Some 20 years after this, the Indy Colts took home a Super Bowl title.

Three years later, at the Colts' expense, New Orleans won theirs.
