@Contrapunctus1 the raynox dcr 150 and 250 fit lenses from 52-67mm.
If it doesnt fit your camera you need to buy a step up or step down adaptor then just clip it on.
I had to use a step up adaptor for the takumar 50mm 1.4 lens with a 49mm filter size.

One word of warning is that the focussing distance with this lens is about 6 inches away. While it produces undeniably good results Its a pig to use and not scare insects away.

@zenoist2 Your are right, this lens is not ideal for all situations. Insects most often fly away, it takes patience and many setups for good shots.

I am thinking of buying this lens and also the DCR 150. The camera I have is a Nikon P80. Is the universal adaptor that comes with the lenses good enough, or do you have to get camera specific adaptors ? It seems to be more expensive to buy kits that are aimed at particular cameras. I am not sure what I should go for

Given I have put this on a Sony Z1 HDV camera, I had to get a separate 72mm adapter. You should be OK with the set up till 67mm.
I am fully happy with the lens for my purposes. It is a great piece of tool. But make sure to read many of the reviews out there before deciding.
