Khmer is conprised mostly of Mon, Sanskrit and Pali. over the years, Thai words have crept into everyday language like "noy" as in "min noy" and "yit" like "jap yit"

It was similar to Lao music. The music style and it's originallity. May be that's why it was called "Lost in Laos".
