  • They wouldn't pass their MOT.

  • Most every buses are badly dented.

  • The bodywork would fit right in in South Wales :)

  • I'd be terrified to be on the top floor of the bus.

  • I agree that Bangladesh has the worst public transportation system I've come across so far, but compared to their counterparts in Bombay, aren't these buses a little more taller than the double deckers of Bombay??

  • These are the lowest grade city public transport available. Poor people need transports at their price points.

The ones you see here are govt. owned hence the sad state of affairs. They Have privately owned city transport as well which is comparable to western city bus service. Improving slowly but surely.

At the top rung intra-city service level-- they have Luxury Scania and Volvo buses (Volvo India origin) as well with toilets and stewards serving snacks.

  • To the best of my knowledge, these buses are Ashok Leyland 'Titan' double deckers as used in Bombay, but with a full width cab to make them look more modern.

The chassis is merely an updated Leyland 'Titan' PD3 with Hino engine.

  • Er....No GV9's over there, obviously.

In fact, the screen with the hole in it was probably replacing an even worse one.

    Great video, thanks.

Are these the actual buses used for their standard bus sevice?
