Just chaos from our little event. Lovely, innit?
This is an anti-consumerist message from a whole mess of drunken santas ambling aimlessly amid the San Francisco streets on a cold, but lovely winter day. HO - HO - HO!!!! Buy more worthless crap you don't need! HO HO HO!!!! Further drive yourself into debt and lacking any control of your life at all.. HO HO HO!!! Merry consumer holidays bitches. MAYHEM ANARCHY DRUNKEN REVELRY AND ANTI CONSUMERISM. Yes we had to buy santa outfits or make them. irony? yes! Drunk enough to deal with it? YES!
@tebow2424 yeah... started with anti-consumer message and revelry, and has since evolved w/ many interpretations throughout the world

In 1994, the Suicide Club in San Francisco staged the first "Santarchy", which was later adopted by the Cacophony Society as SantaCon. Influenced by the surrealist movement, Discordianism, and other subversive art currents, the Cacophonists celebrated the Yule season in a distinctly anti-commercial manner, by mixing guerrilla street theatre and pranksterism.

@tebow2424 If that's your interpretation, that is fine. But Cocaphany has always had a very strong anyi consumeist element to the spreading of good cheer. Saying anti-consumerism has nothing to do with it is way off. I do understand some people like to dress up and get drunk, but it came from an artistic movement, and had specific intent of being spontaneous, harmless, and a message of kindness vs. consumerism. I am sure a wiki article or something says something about it.
