Dragon Quest 9 - Defeating Atlas Naked

I was doing the Fisticuffs Quest to get the scroll (Kill 50 monsters on the 10th floor of any grotto with nothing equipped) and I thought killing Atlas at the end of the grotto would be a fitting way to end the quest. Sadly I forgot I had to kill him with a normal attack, so this didn't actually finish the quest =/.
