Dogs can be a great example because of selective breeding. If genes are passed down from ancestors, then we wouldn't be able to breed dogs for preferred characteristics. Same with cows. We breed cows to get the best milk and meat quality; without genetic inheritance this would be moot.

I kind of wish that when in the end of this segment, when Mr. Hovind asks why amoebas has more DNA than mammals, the other guy (I'm sorry I forgot his name) would have talked about insertion mutations in DNA. Given all the time amoebas has been around this could easily explain his question. I guess he didn't think about it. Then again; Hovind probably would either not listen or not understand what he was talking about.

@curran736 If you took a survey of all the "bad" guys currently in jail i.e. rapists, killers, etc etc, overwhelming majority of them are religious. In fact, secular countries have the lowest crime rates on the planet.

@lilogoodboi ever heard of the burden of proof is on the claimant? If you claim God exists then prove it, in the absence of said evidence I choose not to believe in deities. That means that I am not saying he does not exist, but that I do not believe that he does. You theists need to get that through your heads please cause it is getting annoying and old. " can't prove there is not a God " No but we do not need to cause you cannot prove the non existence of pink unicorns.

Kent's point about the Amoeba genome is evidence against a common designer. Why would a god need a bigger genome to make a protazoa than an ape? Not a very good "designer."y But then Kent's too stupid to realise that.
