going 200 km\h in my golf 1.6 sr .. sounds crazy

6000RPM @ 180 km/h ? Is a Automatic Transmission with 4 gears and @ 180 km/h is a 4ª or 3ª gear?

The right rpm is at about 5 and a half nearly six rmp

Iv got a 2001 mk4 1.6sr golf it stock standard exept for a 2" cat back sport exhaust and a pod filter and I get 230 out of it so all u reAly need is good air flow and good waste flow because before iv done that my car could only go to about 180 190 tops

@KajorMK4 okay it seems possible than to top 200.

But explain me than why mines isnt doing that. I drive the exact same car.

I heard other stories of SR's who wont drive harder than 180 / 190 km/h.

Their must be some sort of trick to reach 200

@Barhoum46 i have the same but it has a manual gearbox, it looks that a manual gearbox can reach 215, but i didnt try it at now... lol

To stay exact: SR is for the "Saugrohr Registerumschaltbar" - variable intake manifold geometry. The "intake manifold geometry variability" is "RegisterSaugrohrumschaltung" in German. (it can be written with mistakes - I'm Polish).

And yes - it's possible to reach 200+km/h with this engine. Two years I topped mine on highway - 203km/h (on GPS and not downhill - flat central Poland :) ). On stock 195/65 R15 wheels and stock rims.
