Full version of Spring Awakening on Broadway.

Performed in February, the 2nd, 2007.

Spring Awakening is a rock musical adaptation of the controversial 1891 German play of the same title by Frank Wedekind.
It features music by Duncan Sheik and a book and lyrics by Steven Sater.
Set in late-19th century Germany, it concerns teenagers who are discovering the inner and outer tumult of sexuality.
The original play was banned in Germany for a while due to its portrayal of masturbation, abortion, homosexuality, rape, child abuse and suicide.
In the musical, alternative rock is employed as part of the folk-infused rock score.
Spring Awakening received eleven 2007 Tony Award nominations, winning eight, including Tonys for best musical, direction, book, score and featured actor.
The show also won four Drama Desk Awards, while its London production won four Olivier Awards.

(I am not sure about the players, since the libretto says, for instance, Christine and then it says Krista as the gron-up woman. I don't know if it is a nickname or what is correct.
The same happens to Georg, according to Wikipedia it is Matt Schingledecker and according to the libretto it is Skylar Astin. Since I don't know any of those players, I ca't tell what is right)

One final note:
I can't be sure of the information I am using.
Both videos are performed in New York in 2006, according to the libretto and the data found in Wiipedia.
Even so, if you see the making off of Glee, when the cast goes to New York (2009), you will hear Lea Michele saying that it is her first time in New York(even if the production of Spring Awakening, that lasted for a whole year, took place there, three years before "Glee".

I would kill to see Spring Awakening on Broadway but my daughter needs clothes FIRST. Don't deny theater to people because they are experiencing it at home. If the characters and music speaks to you, it doesnt matter where you see it.

Because unless the government or corporate sponsors pay to have these things shown for free, you're asking for the artists themselves to provide them to you for free. Would you ask a baker or a doctor for free service? Do you want to work without being paid?
