Of course they intend to use it as a non-lethal weapon against the people.

People should start some class law sue to the makers for victims of hearing loss.

These devices violate the Canadian Center For Occupational Health and Safety noise exposure limits.

If you sample the osscilating sound from the cannon. Then play it back thru a loudspeaker you can knock the sound out. (What is called cancelation or sonic collision). Also you can reflect the sound back using a sheild, something like a round bbq grill top would work good! and ear plugs! Bring your GEAR! The people should not be afraid of their government, The government should be afraid of its people! Raise the fist !!!

Yeah, let's let the anarchists disrupt everything because there is no absolutely harmless way to stop them from doing so. Isn't modern life wonderful? Especially for lawyers who try to cast everyone as a victim, no matter how much of a selfish or violent A-hole they are in the first place.

Yeah, just one more tool in their Nazi war chest that'll keep the people in line.

Who would protest the olympics?

@johnd94 It's not that people would protest the olympics, it that the olympics gives activists the platform to be heard on the world stage. Obviously, in a time of economic crisis, you could argue spending a billion dollars (on security alone) for the olympics is a waste

This article is out of date. There was a public statement released later that the MRAD's pulse function will not be used.

@sl1m0thy if that's true I'm glad to hear it- they would not rule it out during that press conference. It seems like a no-brainer to at least come and and say they won't use it, but I doubt they can "disable" the function to use it as a sonic weapon
