Germany to strengthen links with Russia and Medvedev

The German politician responsible for diplomatic relations with Moscow has given another indication his country is willing to strengthen ties with Russia. Speaking ahead of the newly elected Russian President's first visit to the EU, Andreas Shockenhoff said Germany wants to be Russia's top foreign partner.

@TheRealCritique What I think and thought from the start is that you are not from the USA. And if you are living there now, you are not native and were born in post Sov.Un. country. It obvious-USA natives are not as aggressive as post Sov.Un.-they just don’t care. And I met lots of USA natives -wise of not, some thought that Europe is a country its self some knew some European countries, but NOBODY knew anything about Baltic countries and of course their names & that one of them is of 3 mill.!

That’s why we fought for South Ossetia’s & Abkhazia’s independence, now we give money and they are under control. What was important is Abkhazia’s harbor where we could keep our Black sea marine. At that time we had problems with Ukraine, being given big sums of money from USA, Ukrainian government abolished the agreement of keeping Russian marine on its territory

@OlggaaTravel OK, fine. Good job explaining a lot of things. However, Russians are still exploiting their neighbors, so don't act like they're suddenly wonderful neighbors. Russians recently tried to take over Latvian parliament, a tiny country of 3 million and yet Russia STILL has to stick its nose in it. No explanation except pure macho and greed. Russian men are obnoxious.

But I would never associate this tragedy with modern Germany- it was history, it’s not about common people and new history of Germany. Why should they pay for Nazi government?
