I actually had the honor of playing with him last year when he came up to Fairbanks, Alaska to our jazz fest and he still has it. It is amazing to see a man play that well when he rests his trumpet on his gut, and has to sit down while he plays.

from what i heard he stuck it and stuck it right in the audience' faces
sometimes the super high register doesn't come through on a home video style tape, especially when it's over an entire band.
Bobby Shew is phenomenal!
