Charging: plug it in to your usb without the sd card in slot, orange light will turn off when charged.

Time/Date Stamp Fix: create a .txt file on your desktop called TAG.txt open the file and paste the code below, adjust time and date to current.

Save the file and copy it to your camera's root folder. Turn camera on, turn camera off, turn camera on and shoot video. Your date and time should work now.

Battery Life: it takes FOREVER to charge this unit and the battery is estimated to last for 60-90 minutes of recording.

I have one aswell, with sdSlot. To turn on ,hold the rear button for the count of 2 then release , it will flash a few times then stay ON,To take a single picture, push front button one short push and the light will flash off then back on ,having made 1 picture. To take video, Hold down fornt button for a couple seconds then release, it will flash 3 times then go out, at that point its recording video, to stop video record, push front button until the light comes on and relase, now in stand-by.

Thin-plastic hollow sound: Just like any good DIY-er... Hot glue is your friend. Might add and ounce or so to the weight, and kill heat dissipation, but this thing runs cool, and is light to begin with. Just loosen the two screws, clamshell it open, and spooge some hot glue lovin' inside that case. (with an SD card in-place, obviously).

Increases the hefty-nees instantly.

Need to pair this thing with a quality wearable TF audio recorder, tho. Audio is barely passable in optimum conditions.

@billjohnson2006 Sorry I ramble at times, the directions for date and time are in the description as mentioned in the text overlay in the video. I will try not to be so informative next time ;)

Errr - excuse me but didn't your title say about changin the Date/Time stamp on the 808? Can you please post something about how to do this. The little leaflet which came with the camera explains a bit, but I couldn't get it to change. Cheers.!

@zandamandag Plug the camera into the rear USB port of your computer, it has more power for charging, also try a new cable, the one that comes with it is not very good.

I've just got the latest (808#16) and I use it for ordinary video work. I notice when I talk during videoing there is a lot of background "white noise." Just wondering is there a solution to this prob..(I've uploaded the latest firmware- 0.18). Otherwise the video quality is amazing.

i know it's a minor thing but as i'm from UK can the date format be changed also?

from yyyy/mm/dd to dd/mm/yyyy
