  • get with the tao

  • ur so awesome :]

  • @LastDaysPictures I don't know if Egoism is as important to the problem to the problem as you claim it to be. It is a prime reason but when is ego ever not when talking about ones self.

  • I believe that in ancient times the individual mind was more connected to the collective mind and this was for the benefit of all, because egoism was less and the everyone act and thought more for the best of his neighbor. Today we can observe a decaying of society, religion, family and even of the single individual mind. Psychological problems are today more than in the past and egoism is for sure one of the main reasons.

  • To experience "the flow", or the moment, one simple has to unfocus one's attention from separate things and focus instead on all things, at once. Hockey players do this when they are stick handling the puck. They need to see the puck and also be aware of opponents around them.

I tested this while walking quickly through a mall during lunch hour, when it was full of people walking around. I unfocused my awareness to see the space between the people, and the people, as two aspects of one whole.

  • As mentioned in earlier comments your idea of "flow" sounds very much like the Taoist Zen art of "no mind" or action without thought. However I'm confused because Zen is a learned discipline. For example in your blog you mention driving a car without thinking. This may be easy for someone who has driven for 20 years but for someone who driving is very new they are constantly using their inner voice (or that of a back seat driver) to make conscious decisions. Choice becomes more prevalent.

  • Your contribution to these awesome mind-opening ideas are making a huge difference. Slowly more and more people are becoming aware, and you are definitely speeding up the process, Rob, don't ever stop making these videos.
