I owned a ZX-12 before my 14 and I can assure you that the 14 is slightly faster and much sharper and stable than the 12.

What you need to do, is get to top speed, lift your bum off the seat a few inches, then force out a huge fart. I estimate 10 - 15mph extra. (BTW, you need to ride with no trousers, otherwise the fart will be stifled and wasted).

actually the 14 was created for bigger people and someone who wants more room and comfort. Bigger seat and so forth. not everyone is 120 pounds soaking wet. ever see a 300 pound 6'6" guy on a zx10?

Plus the only way to compete with suzuki was a bigger bike. Balls has nothing to do with it. lets face it, if you were that good you would be racing bikes professionally on a track. 1/4 mile doesn't count. not saying there arent amazing street riders out there.

@zedboy2000 the 12 is a great bike . very under rated . im starting to get used to mine (2002 a2 model ) and have to say its prob faster than my last busa and easyer to turn hard .

@davemr1966 i have had a 2005 zx12 since new.. and decided to buy the 2010 busa..thinking it would be a little better,, i ride hard on both bikes, very hard,,but using my mate as a reference point, he rides a zx14concours and passes every one litre bike available.. the busa can only keep up in the winding hills,as it just doesnt get round the corners, as good as the zx14.. but when i get on the zx 12. i can leave
