Colorful & Cool Looking 1955 RCA Model #7EY1JF 45 RPM Record Player

In 1955, RCA introduced a new line-up and this was one of five very colorful & cool looking models that teenagers just gravitated to. This is a pink & gray (typical 50's colors) that was very popular. This was originally a single stage amplifier (1 rectifier tube/1 amplifier tube) and I've taken the 2-stage amp from a similar EY7 series and placed it in here and added the "DeLuxe 3" script on the front. The model I took it from was from a smashed case due to superfine packing from a seller (I love it when a seller won't take the time to listen to you as to how it NEEDS to be packed....GRRRRRRR!!). While not exactly original as designed, it most definitely has more volume & better fidelity and the only thing that gives it away is the "DeLuxe 3" script added to the grill.

I hope you've enjoyed another wonderful piece of 50's history! These were not only popular in the 50's but are still very much sought after today because of the cool looks & beautiful color combinations. Kudos to RCA on these colorful models! Stay tuned....more to come!

@AConnieChannel Thank you for that praise! This player, however, is NOT for sale. It's going into my collection. At some point as I finish up the many restorations I still have to do for my own collection, I'll start doing restorations for sale. That's down the road apiece though!

I've always liked these players.  They are so attractive! I have the carrying case for this model. I had the player, but it isn't in good shape at all. Currently it's with my 1st guy that works on my players. He still has it. Its been over a year. I need to give him a call. Thanks for sharing.

Nice 45 record player, but nice to heard that song which is quite appropriate for a 10-year-old, Hannah Richardson. She sang her version of "Where the Boys Are" to death. She does a great job! I hope Hannah Richardson ("mlpgrow123") is watching right now!
