It is important to save images in as efficient a manner as possible. Photoshop has a "Save for Web" ability, but how much does that really help? We'll look at a simple example where we can review file sizes from several different formats to see what is the best way to save a file, and how much can it save us in file size - which directly translates into saving download time.

  • i know this video is old, but it doesnt let me save it has PNG! please help (PNG isnt an option for ways to save it, and im using photoshop 5.5)

  • @crabboy100 I don't think PS allowed the saving of PNG if you are using 5.5 (not CS5.5). I've not had a chance to look at CS5.5 yet - but I would think it should be about the same. I'm about to get CS5.5, and will look at that for changes, and do new videos where needed.
