Disgusting comment from a seemingly bitter old man. Like him or loathe him, his wife was crippled for life in that bombing - has your "University of Life" (zzzzzzzzzzz) ever had to face up to anything like that?
4.You make personal insults rather than debating facts.
5.Not changing your point but equally ridiculous is your ability to come up with grand statements such as "If that is what you believe then you really don't have any understanding..." without any supporting evidence. What was the miner's strike about, then? If not restoring democracy and controlling a recession?
As I said before, if you want to back up your claims with anything other than profanities or insults, please, do so...
1.First you say how the Thatcher governments destroyed lives; then you say how every government is the same. Thus, in your eyes, every government must be terrible (which is a ridiculous suggestion) or you've changed your point.
2.After pointing out your dislike of all politics, you proceeded quote Disraeli to back up your points.
3.You tried to explain that the people I mentioned refused to work. Then, when you realised your mistake you decided to question whether their deaths were deliberate.
Care to tell me where I've changed my point. I've spent most of my time correcting you on your "famous names", so famous you can't equate which name goes with which event!
Aah, true. Yes, apologies for confusing names. However, I don't see how you doing a quick google search to correct me mitigates the point.
If you look back over this conversation, you have changed your point about three times over. It is clear you are arguing for the sake of it with no knowledge base.
And, yes, the industry was destroyed... with extremely good reason. As I have already said, the production sector had to be scaled back to maintain economic solvency.
You really haven't done your homework have you! The slab of concrete was put through taxi driver David Willkies windscreen actually, and no it wasn't acceptable behaviour, just as the actions and behaviour of the police and government, which where reminiscent of a police state, werent.. You cannot label all miners because of the actions of a couple of pillocks. Youre supposed to be studying this subject! Ultimately the miners where right about their industry being destroyed.
I think you'll find Tebbit is more bitter than me. Sad his wife got hit but good to know Tebbit suffers each day.

"the production sector had to be scaled back to maintain economic solvency."
If that is what you believe then you really don't have any understanding of what the miners strike was ultimately all about.
