@TaitIsAwesome101 But, do you feel that Americans' right to their own opinions was violated by the institution of the draft during the Vietnam era? Also, there were people of conscience who chose not to go, in spite of their forced conscription of a U.S. government clearly in violation of their right to dissent from their government.
-
@233jester The United States armed forces won 98 percent of thebattles in viet nam. But lost the war due to lack of political will to continue.

Ya'll whose opinions are on civilians need to understand that men were getting drafted, they had to go, even against their will. and yes, they obviously killed people, it was war, people were trying to kill them. So stop being so bias, open your eyes, and shut your mouth, because you werent one of them fighting there, so you have no opinion.

@dajuggalo4201 won all the battles??we lost most of them

@TR3Y4LI4E Uh, not every vetan is a bad guy. And it was a tactic of the viet cong to make the civilians of villages throw grenades at US etc, so practically nobody could be trusted. That accounts for the murder. Rape, inexcusable though. Still, you sir really need to do your research.

Shut up! and stop lying either you're not a veteran or you're lying! American Troops murdered and raped 2million gooks in that war

@Stumperx For those who know about the Battle of Long Tan it was Austrailias finest hour. For those who don't know they really should look it up.

@TR3Y4LI4E Currently at age 33, I doubt he killed very many. On the other hand the NVA and VC were responsible for over 33,000 murders and killings including over 2,000 innocents at Hue. And you? Given the chance, how many do you want to kill?
My father fought in battles there in 1966.
