So far this is what i have. Its only like 35 seconds but it took me about an hour. This is my first song ive really thought hard about and payed attention to. Let me know what you think i know you can only hear the Guitar Pro but my family is asleep lol so ill post another video when i have more finished and i can crank it up

i am just joking ..our band is extremely productive and capable of writing our own riffs. i didnt rip you off.. i did figure parts of it out though.. its not our style.. its definately a solid riff though..

need to switch it up a bit mate, sounded very repetetive, was good, dont get me wrong but 'tech death' isnt just a few notes over and over again, just go sick on the fretboard, anything sounds good as long as you can play it tightly and as long as the other instruments compliment the original riff

As well as any other music style, as well as any other instrument, you have 12 notes that are repeated in octaves... what's the big deal?! You can't just say that all the songs are similar because of that... You know that music combines melody with harmony and tempo? Just that gives you a quite big number of possibilities for creating a song.

ohh yes. sometimes i will write a riff later to find it is already wrote.

once you tap into the root notes and start to understand how all the "professional" guitar players write. you understand all metal songs are made up with the same area of the neck basically. (as the neck is only 12 frets and then repeats the same notes in a higher octave)
