It's about fucken TIME somebody posted some audio of a Flxible Metro (D Series) with the Cummins M-11/ZF 5HP-590 combo!!!! The way that exhaust screams is rather relaxing, don't you think?

The photo (taken by myself) is of Bus #9404. An audio recording of Bus #9404(about 16-17 minutes, with an overblown turbocharger) is available

  • got any sounds of their DD50 powered Flxibles?

  • Wouldn't YOU like to know??!?!? LOL....

  • This recording would be lovely if it weren't for those Goddamn Yappers on the bus talking shit!

Other than that, the sounds of that ZF 5-speeder is always lovely! I wonder if the transmission along with the axle that it comes with is still sold...hmm...

  • Then my recording of 9404 is what you'd love to hear...sadly, it's too long for YouTube.

  • Montigue, do you have any audios for MTA Maryland 9426-9430 (these five have the Voith transmission)?

  • Sadly, I do not. Never been able to catch one.

  • @MetroLinerXLZ

I believe they're all gone now.

  • thats right 8v71. im from atl and remember when cobb community transit got these. they sound just like these and were beautiful! brings back memories

  • Man I remember Cobb Community Transit use to have 1994 Flxibles that sounds just like this. And they had the same engine and transmission as this too. Sounds tight!!!

  • Those ones are 9431-9435 if from 1994. The other MTA MD Flxibles with the Series 50 are from 1996, numbered 9521-9539, but with Allison VR-731 trannies. MTA MD once ran four LNG-fueled Flxibles with the DD50G/ZF, numbered 9301-9304, but only for a short time (Montgomery County Ride-On would purchase these in 1999 and converting them to diesel, renumbering them as 5700-5703).

  • yea or something else lol

  • You thought I was talking about the engines being the numbers?

  • I was wondering what the fuck you where talking about, until i looked at the front of the bus

  • Can you post it please? Just edit it with Windows Movie Maker.
