This is all very good information, especially the bit towards the end of how long and how frequently you should practice.
Also, don't scrimp when you buy your first real guitar. I had my first real one for over 40 years so make sure you get one that will last. Also on this point, the big names are not necessarily the best value for money.

@BillyTheMoose1 Hi. Yes I do know of Sungha Jung. His style of playing is much the same as mine, in that it is an alternating bass style, using thumb and three fingers. It all comes from people like Merle Travis and Chet Atkins style. Keep working on the videos and they will set you on the right path for that style of playing.

@number1guitarplayer GARY! Im just wondering. If you know sung ha jung. and if so, is his fingerstyle same with your fingerstyle? Just wondering. Im just a beginner and wanting to learn to play like him...anyway great vid! I play/practise what you've taught here for more than just 30 mins a day... hope to hear from you soon! ;)

ive been playing guitar for 5 years now, just now getting into finger style. and the finger after every bass note was challenging. great lesson. i can notice improvements already
