  • I think its a bit harsh to say Tiesto ruined this (for starters Tiestos version is more 'liked' and more popular). Its like saying William Orbit ruined the Original.. He didn't, he turned a classical song into a song that is enjoyed by the new generation, who end up listening to the original and enjoying that too. Tiesto did exactly the same and I'm sure someone will do it to Tiesto's version in the future.

  • @Dannyboisxi I think it's certainly fair to say that Tiesto ruined it. He literally took a single line from the song and repeated it over the course of his entire track, and dared to call it a remake. What Tiesto missed is that this piece has no emotive power in the rise without the fall afterwards. The second line of the song balances and gives scope to the iconic first line. Orbit understood this, and has created a worthy homage. Tiesto did not, and created a monster.

  • When this song came out. It was so nice. Float away and dream away. Gave me the shivers. I prefer this version over Tiesto his version. And yes I am Dutch same as Tiesto. This is the real version for me. William Orbit respect!

  • hey, I played this at 5 to midnight NYE 1999 in front of 1000 ravers in a warehouse just outside of Hull. An extraorinary experience and feeling. The Tiesto thing is horrid. Thank you for the memories, I still get the shivers!! Cheers Mr Orbit.
