I've been fooling around with my vocal cords since I ever heard metal, and I've always wondered if this particular vocal style has been done before. I've looked, but never found a sound exactly like it. I posted this video to see if the more educated masses might point me to a band that already utilizes it, and if it even has a term already that I can use when describing it. Thank you, world! God bless y'all.

Btw, since I don't have an official term, I've been calling it GRISPERING, a fusion of growling and whispering, since that's kind of like what I'm doing.

  • i think gutturals

  • Kesha without autotune, but this is much better.

  • that sounds like it's just a growl, a quiet, very articulate growl. It might be a guttural though, can't exactly tell.

  • sounds nice - actually :)
