This is a great layout! It's so big! I wish I had a big house to run H&O and O! That would be fun...that would be fun.

Im new to this, so please pardon the lack of knowledge. So here's my question: How come the tracks have 3 rails on them?
vidfreak727 10 months ago
@vidfreak727 The 3-rail system was adopted back at the turn of the 20th century because having 3 rails allows for easier and more reliable operation than 2-rail. That's not to say 2-rail isn't good, it's just that originally these trains were built for kids and having the 3-rail system made for easier set, from an electrical standpoint. If you're still confused, message me privately and I'll explain more.

What engine are you driving around your layout?
TheGordon4 10 months ago
@TheGordon4 I forget, this was 2 years ago. I know it was an MTH engine. I wanna say it was a Norfolk Southern AC6000 in the lead.

What engine at 3:31?

@continentalb737800 The green and grey engine is an Atlas FURX SD40. The camouflage engine is an MTH Union Pacific SD40-2.
