Marek Weber Tanz-Orch. & Siegfried Arno, 1930

The hit song of the year 1930 - "Was kann das Sigismund dafuer..." (How Can Sigismund Help He's So Beautiful?)is played by one of the best Weimar Berlin dance bands. Such fine musicians like Arthur Briggs (trumpet) or a banjoist Mike Danzi played for M. Weber, as well as most popular crooners like Monosson or Austin Egen sung the refrains. Here the refrain is sung by Siegfried Arno - a cabaret and film actor, whose two rare clips can be found here in You Tube. Marek Weber and Arno left Germany after Hitler took power and they continued their career in the US (Weber as "King of The Waltz" in radio).
This recording was made for Electrola in 1930.
