This was a flight in my Long-EZ N91CX with my brother Glenn on June 28, 2011. We flew over the Green and Colorado Rivers and low over Lake Powell.

  • After departing the Grand Junction area, I climbed to 10,500 ft msl, and l descended to Lake Powel at about 4300 ft msl. The lake is at about 4,000 ft msl. At cruiset I was at about 160kts. When over the lake - 150 kts. The video was speeded up X3 over the lake to shorten the length of the video. The original max gross weight was 650kg, but I placed a bigger engine and other modifications, and increased to 800kg. Glad you like it!

  • I use a ContourGPS HD video camera on a custom video mount attached to my luggage pod mount. Glad you like the videos.

  • Great video and beautiful plane! I am building a Cozy MK-IV myself.

A question regarding the colour of the airframe: Have you experienced any problems with heating of the surfaces? I guess you have read the various discussions regarding this subject. I was also thinking of a yellow bird myself.

  • incredible video.///what altitude were you at..? what was the speed/velocity of the aircraft?

are there many planes of LongEz for sale in usa..or is there another way of getting to down under?

any site to locate this type of aircraft..? in australia , i would need a plane with maximum tow of 650 Kg that is including full tank of fuel, 2 adults and ...beautiful stunning / almost surreal...
