A lot of the poor I've met vote republican because the left has proven to be two-faced, indifferent and refuses to address preferential treatment in the distribution of entitlements.

I think a lot of them know they're voting against themselves, but it's more of a case of them wanting to burn this country down quickly with angry fascists in power, rather than slowly with wishy-washy liberals in power. The quicker the empire falls, the quicker the rebuild.

@BASSAROVER Because the Republicans are doing anything to stop poverty... looking at any of the Republican candidates I've seen, not ONE has even dared to step foot in the ghetto or to even try to defend those who cannot defend themselves. When it is near impossible to progress further in the socioeconomic climate of today, welfare is the only chance we have of not starving to death and Republicans have done nothing to fight this.

Don't threaten businesses with more taxes. Quit giving people everything they need for doing nothing. Quit regulating everything so much that it is hard to start a business. Quit promoting entitlement mentality. Let capitalism work. There are jobs out there but people won't take them because they are not in their field, they don't pay enough and the don't have to take them to eat.

Fuzzy logic is: Cut jobs and lower pay to save money. Logical thinking is to make basic medical and dental paid with taxes and available to everyone. Free college and tech schools. in wage at $15 a hour and increases 50 cents each year. If people have full time ,well paid jobs, health care and reasonable housing, they would feel secure enough to spend money and buy homes. The countries economics would expand and grow. Plus get out of all the useless wars we are in and go for non-oil energy.

Most of us are one pay check from being homeless. We have the slave mentality. If a boss offered a one bedroom apt, clothing and 3 meals a day, but no pay check many people would take it. Even if we were required to work 6 days a week 14 hour shifts. That is how desperate we are. The corporate heads make millions and the workers get poverty pay.

We are in an employer's market. Very few jobs and to many unemployed. Supply versus demand. Jobs pay less today than they did 10 years ago. One person does 3 peoples job for less pay. France would never put up with such treatment. As Americans we are soft and desperate. We do as we are told and shut up.

Respond to this video... anyone in here, that has home access to the internet=most all of you, are rich. a warm house, lights, running water.how many cars are in your (parents) driveway? how many pairs of shoes do you own? you all bite the hand that feeds you. our system has created all of this. you are all cafe revolutionaries. it will not be better when this comes crashing down. wait and see. utopia will not come from the next revolution. only a big shit sandwich. can't wait.
