hi there, i just tried to reply to your previous email, but instead i clicked on "remove". anyhow, do not attempt this with anyone who is not a proficient pilot or an instructor. i encourage any pilot to do some intentional spins with their instructor several times in a row. you will be surprized after a few ones, how well you will be able to control the airplane and how controlling the airplane quickly will remove much of the fear. it is best to be ready and prepared than to become petrified.

That's exactly why you need to practice them w/ your instructor first. When you start practicing soloing these maneauvers, there's no one to help you unfreeze. Soloing I went into an accidental spin practicing turning stalls, a method I've used is to shout out your procedures, this keeps you from freezing or doing things that don't make sense. Like adding rudder with the turn instead of opposite, turn into a washing machine ZOOOOOOM!

You will, its an human instinct to react to that for the first time. After you did some rudder practices and have done it, you will feel completely in control of the plane and correct it.
Remember: The Pilot always makes it worse.

Same thing seems to be happening to me! I tried power-on stalls for the first time today (in a C-152), and immediately after trying the 1st, I froze up AND felt really queasy as my stomach felt like it was in my throat! I came a few inches off the seat too!!! Hopefully, I can overcome this...

I hated Power on stalls, I mean when the airplane banked to the left and the nose went down I just freezed up and my instructer had to help me. But now its going fine though
haha i loved these
my instructor told me about them, and said to try one if i felt comfortable enough...
These are the most adrenaline pumping maneuvers lol
i have my check ride soon

hey there, so how did your check ride come out? did you so any spins? actually, it was a great way for me to loose my fear about spins. I did three in a row. By the third one, you really feel much more comfortable about it. Lots of luck with your flying!

I am getting my biannual flight review at noon tomorrow! Thanks for your message. I used to be terrified of stalls, however, the more you practice, the more confident you become in learning precisely how to come out of the stall or spin. Once you see it as something technical, you will loose much fear and be able to concentrate of the recovery. However, I am still a bit nervous about tomorrow, lol. Best of luck with your test and thanks for writing!
