Collings Foundation P51B startup and taxi out at Zephyrhills muni on 1/20/2009. The pilot is Mark Henley who is also a member of the Aeroshell aerobatics team that flies AT-6 Texans.

C series,not B series. This is the ONLY example of the C series you will ever see,though it LOOKS like the B.

That's why I zoomed in on the data placarded on the side. It says P51B-10-XA. The Collings Foundation says it is a C. I haven't asked them for an account of the apparent discrepancy.

@metallicastarwarsfan this isnt the only c model flying. the tuskegee airmen is a tp-51c and theres one more with a blue paint job

@Hendo56  B's in Inglewood, CA and C's in Dallas TX.

@Bustafunny FYI, the ONLY difference between the B and C is that the B's were manufactured in Inglewood, CA, and the C's were manufactured in Dallas, TX.

I just read in an Osprey book today that B's and C's are identical. It's just that NA moved the manufacture to another plant, and those Mustangs were labeled "C".
