I have been astonished by this incredible version of "Angeleyes". I could never have thought that it was possible to convey this song as a revelation of male love. Unrivalled and marvellous. Thank you for sharing.

Brilliant. Very focused and sentimental lead singing. Great vocal arrangement. I´m stunned. Wonderful, wonderful cover of this underetimated song. Keep it up. Cheers. André :-)

i love how they changed the sex of the narrator but not of the subject....
-
@dopplesoldners Actually if you listen closely, the word "girl" in the line "...where I saw him together with a young girl" is changed to "boy" in this cover.
So, the song is sung in a gay context. This cover is still amazing though!

This is from a really great Czars album called Sorry I Made You Cry, full of great covers like this....
-
brilliant cover.Of course, the perfect pop song too...

I knew I recognised this song when I first heard it in HMV but it took me at least an hour to realise that it was an Abba song I haven't heard forever
-
@discogareth The Czars also cover Connie's multi-million seller Where The Boys Are. Agnetha modeled herself after Connie.

I usually hate on covers especially of my band abba, but this is great!

@CoverLounge most ABBA songs are folk songs.

The best Abba cover versions are sung by Men rather than women. I think it is because most women cannot match Agnetha and fridas vocal ability. Check out Tommy Korberg singing 'The winner takes it all' or John Barrowman and Daniel Boys singing the chess song ' I know him so well'
What a fabulous cover!!

Ain't it? They took a poppy, upbeat disco tune and made a beautiful folksy song out of it. One of my all-time favorites.
