i have an alesis QX49, ive done what youve just said, but only the midi controls work nothing happens when i hit the keys. any help?

@MrBrandonPeoples I have a Yamaha keyboard and I've got it working with reason 5 but I cannot get the sustain pedal to record! When I play notes while holding the pedal the notes are sustained, but it does not record the sustained note, just the note itself! How can I fix this?

well, i come from FL studio where my keyboard actually works as my keyboard. is it possible to do that in reason?

@najtrows yes, there is an onscreen keyboard that you can use your computer keyboard to play. To bring up you just hit F4
