Bijna iedereen kan zien, maar niet iedereen kan kijken. Kijken moet je leren. Net zoals je oesters of olijven moet leren eten. Voordat je beelden kunt waarderen, moet je eerst leren kijken. Daarom besloten Norbert ter Hall en Erik Kessels daarmee te beginnen.Met Kijkers trakteert de VPRO kijkers op verrassende, vervreemdende, originele, mooie, ontroerende beelden. Niet om er iets van te leren of omdat het moet, maar puur vanwege het plezier van het kijken. De 57 kunstfilmpjes zijn ook op dvd verkrijgbaar.
