Timesplitters Future Perfect on XLink (Video 1 of 2__ 7/25/09)

This is video of an online game session of Timesplitters Future Perfect for ps2. This game was played online through a program called Xlink ( http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/). It is a LAN tunneling application that lets you play ps2 games online forever even after their online servers are taken down. Timesplitters Future Perfect's ps2 online servers are down so this is the only way to play it online anymore.

I played this through Xlink. This game is cross region compatible through xlink, meaning that it can be played online between PAL and North America.

hey i looked on a list of all the ps2 games that still had servers and timesplitters was one of them under lan games what does this mean

@MultiLegocrazy The servers for this game have been offline a long time. Meaning you cannot just connect through the online mode of the game any more. You have to use the LAN mode of teh game. A program called xlink kai lets you use the LAN mode to play the game online still. But you have to download a program to your computer and set it up.

Is Xlink as simple as Downloading the software, and hooking up my PS2 to my PC via Ethernet cable?

Also, does using a laptop make a difference or should you only use a desktop?

I love Timesplitters 2 & FP, watching the vids makes me cry with happiness!

@chrisfurious1878 Well if you use a router, you will need to hook your ps2 up to your router and set up port forwarding on your router so that port 30000 is open to your PC. Read the FAQ link on xlink kai's website. It is located at the top of the page and will help you get a better understanding of it. (teamxlink(.)co(.)uk is their site. You can use a laptop.

the basement of this level in TS2 was better in this one its all open
