36 story stair climb both ways at the Cathedral of learning pittsburgh, pa

running up and down the stairs in the cathedral of learning in pittsburgh, 36 flights of stairs is a long way, but running up all the steps is harder than it looks, I actually went back up again 5 minuets after the video. I know several other people have done this before and some did it with several trips, up and down and some even took breaks between floors, but I didnt stop, some even cheated by taking the elevator up part way.

Way to go! Brings back memories. I attended U Pitt back in 1982-84 and used to climb these for exercise and to relieve stress from engineering classes. Back then you could go to floor 42 or so. Check out Danny Chew's website on this climb, you won't believe how many times one person climbed these.

@django772 yeah this is a long way up, it was fun though I want to come back and try this again. the record is like 102 times in a row, dont know how someone could really handle that.

@Balarick I dont know, it looks like a crawl space to something like wires or something, or pipes, its locked so we cant open it, but I have seen it at the courthouse too

Wow, that must have been one whale of a workout, and that would be like going one way in a 72-floor building! I wonder how much weight one could lose just doing this stair climbing.

Nicely done! I honestly would not have made it past six, mainly because I have bad knees. Yay things you inherit through genetics :/
