@MovieMaster0001 i do not think it would do so well. in the 60's this was a depiction of the future made almost like an opera, when you watch a movie from the 60's you can appreciate the time it was made and that this movie was groundbreaking.

but today people will want more then what this movie is. I am most people who are fans of the first are happy enough with a remastered version where cgi is added to the movie.

if they make a remake of this movie they will prob call it "A Space Odyssey" because well...were past 2001! God bless!
