Cutting off my Dreads

I did this on October 19th, 2006. After nine years of growing, I decided it was time to cut my hair and start a new era in my life. I think it's going to be a very good year.....

I dunno. I haven't really been pressing questions like that. People used to ask me why I grew them and I gave the same answer. All in all, I'm just accepting it as hair.....nothing more

@invaderj for some people its the same as the rings of a tree. if you have dreadlocks for a long time they carry a story. but im cutting mine of soon too :)

Yes i did, it was over a year ago and it was a great decision! I had them for 5 years and needed to try something new for a change.

I understand. I cut my seven year locks off, and I am a woman, still with natural hair, its quite humbling, yet strangely liberating.

was it really necessary to go to a hair dresser to cut off the dreads??? it kills me to watch this... I havent had dreads for that long but I'm falling in love with them more each day hehe!
