After the disappointment of France Jim Clark bounced back by leading the British Grand Prix from start to finish.
The Scot won three British Grands Prix in a row with the only real threat to his postion coming from Surtees, in the Ferrari, and Graham Hill.
Hill somehow managed to wring the neck of the BRM and keep it close on Clark's tail for the entire race.
Brabham and Bandini were again in the points while Hill's team-mate Richie Ginther struggled to keep up with the leaders all day long.
