FaceDaFaxx understands the importance of keeping Mexican children ignorant. That's wise since the sun worshippers who run our governments decree that revenue in will equal revenue out every time the earth travels once around the sun god. Since our priests of fiscal responsibility have no idea how to benefit from the productive and creative possibilities of each human mind, what difference will it make if after our next 20 solar revolutions all but the richest kids have landed in the trash?

I sent all my 4 kids to private schools and paid a lot of taxes for other's kids to go to public schools. I applaud private fund-raising to support individual schools to educate legitimate American children. We simply should not be the free educational system for Mexico. It's not fair and it's a very real kind of theft of public funds.

I guess you learned a lot about fiscal responsibility as a child (and had a pretty crappy education as a result). If parents want to contribute to directly improve the caliber of their child's schooling, why exactly should you care?

Sad, but we are overrun by the children of illegal immigrants. Spanish is the majority language of LAUSD and much of SMMSD. 50% of the State budget is by law dedicated to schools and is untouchable. "Cushy, no-fire, Job for Life" public union members have permanently carved out vast chunks of California Taxpayer's funds and have control of the State legislature. The Feds, State and Los Angeles County and City legislators have turned California into a failed, third-world dump.
