They have to gain altitude pretty quickly to leave London Airspace. I have done this flight from the flight deck with a friend and he says you have to be at a certain altitude over Northern England to clear to Class A Airspace.

@Qopel You're such an idiot.

@mikes37737 not a game
-
ya..i agree of the UFO sounds
-
wow how long does it take to get that far in the game
-
@Qopel Calling people names hardly increases your credibility. Can I see your electrical engineering degree? Or how about some research that has been performed in the last 5-10 years on the topic?
-
@mateusz767300 Yeah this guy hasn't taken his meds. Belongs in the looney bin.
-
@Qopel Hey man no need to be so harsh.
There are COCKPIT videos taken by people like us and the pilots didn't have a problem with it.
And how was i wrong?
-
@mateusz767300 YOU ARE WRONG....there...now you are corrected. Don't you think that all those announcements they make about turning off ALL electronic eqipment during takeoffs and landings are for a reason? Assholes like you think you are above the rules, right?
-
@zomgmoz OMG ...the Radar and dishes are there FOR the naviagation system...the camera interferes with that...IDIOT
Well just type in all the take off and landing videos on youtube - probably well over 50 of them or so!
I think if it were a serious issue, they would have confiscated these videos and done something - besides, Federal agents are tied up investigating IMPORTANT things like terrorists and such, not a tourist with a camera.

Yeah, haztronic is right. It's actually a shorter route to go that far north because of the curviture of the Earth. What looks like a shorter, more direct route on a flat paper atlas is actually much longer in reality because of the Earth is curved. All planes crossing the North Atlantic take the route over Greenland because of that.
