  • One thing is sure: All Republicans and conservative independants need to get behind WHOEVER wins the Republican nomination. Otherwise, we will have Clinton or Obama in the White House.

  • Asked by a reporter yesterday about his use of Community Lawn Service with a Heart [the lawncare company], Romney, who was hosting the Republican Governors Association conference in Miami, said, "Aw, geez," and walked away.

    [Boston Globe 12/1/06]

Someone with their LXX pin on want to take a pot shot?

  • the governor has used a landscaping company that relies heavily on workers like these, illegal Guatemalan immigrants, to maintain the grounds surrounding his pink Colonial house on Marsh Street in Belmont."

ROMNEY -- WHO SPEAKS FREQUENTLY ON IMMIGRATION -- NEVER INQUIRED ABOUT THE WORKERS' STATUS, THE GLOBE REPORTS, ONLY OFFERING UP THE OCCASIONAL "BUENOS DIAS" TO THE TOILING WORKERS.

  • No, he didn't. But I don't expect you to report on Romney honestly. He mentioned that several elements in bills (McCain-Kennedy, those by President Bush, and those by Senator Conryn) were reasonable proposals, that he had not forumlated his views on immigration, and that he did not endorse any bill at that time. Not exactly what you said, is it?

  • GO ROMNEY!!

  • Romney told the Boston Globe in an interview that the immigration measure backed by McCain, setting a path to citizenship for undocumented workers was ``reasonable,'' and wasn't a blanket amnesty proposal. Undocumented immigrants ``contribute in many cases to our economy and to our society,'' he said. ' [Bloomberg Website]
